During her appearance on "The Ellen Show," the "Divergent" actress explains the reason behind the grizzly name.

It's not unusual for celebrities to give their kids unique names (North, Apple, Jermajesty, etc.), and Kate Winslet was the latest to follow suit, welcoming first child with husband Ned Rocknroll and naming him Bear Blaze.

While appearing on The Ellen Show on Tuesday, the Divergent actress told host Ellen DeGeneres that Bear was the nickname of a childhood friend and she had always loved it.

"He was very much a bear. He was everyone's shoulder to cry on," said Winslet of her old pal. "He was just this great figure in my life."

Winslet also explained Bear's second name: Blaze.

"Bear's second name is Blaze because my husband and I met in a house fire, basically," she explained. "The house burned down and we survived, but we wanted something of the fire and so Blaze was the name that we came up with. Bear Blaze."

At least, Bear Blaze's last name isn't Rocknroll.
