Victoria Beckham is also among the A-listers to turn to Beverly Hills aesthetician Louise Deschamps for what she calls "the most perfect treatment."

"Super hydrating and nourishing" is how skincare expert Louise Deschamps describes the sheep placenta facial — one of the signature treatments offered at Dr. Harold Lancer's famed dermatology practice in Beverly Hills. "It's a favorite for the female celebrities for that perfectly plump skin and pre-event glow. For guys, it’s a go-to treatment because it leaves them looking fresh and refreshed."

So it's no wonder then that everyone from Kim Kardashian to Harry Styles to Victoria Beckham flock to Deschamps for the $500-plus results-driven facial, which Deschamps claims also boosts skin immunity and helps fight inflammation.

How does it work? "Sheep's placenta stem cells mirror human stem cells. It is a protein base that is close to our own cellular make-up so the body is able to absorb and recognizes it as its own," she explains. As a result, the proteins go to work at an intracellular level, not just on the surface. "For the same reason, there is no chemically negative skin reaction to the product. It's actually pretty close to the most perfect treatment."

The process begins with a skin polish and extractions (as needed), followed by an oxygen infusion with vitamin water. The placenta stem-cell mask is applied, and clients are asked to sit under an LED light for ten minutes to ensure better penetration. Deschamps says there is no downtime, and patients can come in as often as they want for the treatment, depending on budget and personal preference.

For the results, look no further than Harry Styles' soft-as-a-baby’s-bottom skin. "Harry, who I originally met through my longtime client Simon Cowell, has been a client of mine for a few years now," says Deschamps of the One Direction member, who Grazia Daily UK first reported as a fan of the treatment. "He has been coming back and forth from London, but even when I don't see him as regularly because he is overseas, he is very diligent about his skincare regime."
