The rise of nude lips was real.

Kylie Jenner's fans can't get enough of her lip kits since their launch last year — the products repeatedly sell out, in no time. Perhaps that explains why the youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan played an influential role in this year's most searched-for beauty item: nude lipstick.

According to online fashion database Polyvore, searches for the pale shade increased 553 percent and searches for matte lipstick increased 267 percent. The nude lipstick was searched for across the country, from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to New York, and abroad in the U.K., Brazil, France, Russia and Italy.

While there's no denying that the 19-year-old beauty guru's cosmetics line inspired makeup users to try on the colorless hue (Jenner's been seen wearing the "Literally" gloss, $15, and "Dirty Peach" lip kit, $29, before), MAC Cosmetics was actually the most searched beauty brand for the nude lipstick. NARS' Orgasm Blush and Urban Decay's Naked Palette came in second and third for the most searched brand and item, respectively, according to the database's annual report.

Interestingly, Jenner also topped Polyvore's list of the most searched-for female fashion icon of the year. And she's showing no signs of slowing down in building her empire. She earned $18 million in 2016, making more than mom Kris ($11.5 million) and sisters Kendall ($17 million), Khloe ($15 million) and Kourtney ($10 million), and most recently teamed up with Khloe Kardashian for a special lip-kit collection that also sold out. Soon, she'll be opening a brick-and-mortar location for the Kylie Cosmetics makeup line at Westfield Topanga in the San Fernando Valley.

For proof that Kylie is queen of the nude lipstick, look no further than her Instagram selfies.
