Wick, Fisher set for PGA's Selznick nod

The Producers Guild of America will honor Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher with the David O. Selznick Award for outstanding achievement in theatrical motion pictures.

The duo, who together have produced more than 20 films including "Stuart Little," "Gladiator," "Jarhead" and "Working Girl," will receive the award at the 18th annual PGA Awards. The gala is set for Jan. 20 at the Century Plaza Hotel.

"Lucy and Doug are a dynamic team and have developed and produced movies that consistently entertain and enlighten audiences," award co-chairs Hawk Koch and Mark Gordon said. "They epitomize what a true motion picture producer can accomplish in our industry through hard work and commitment of the many people they have worked with."

Wick and Fisher jointly thanked the PGA for "this great award (and) extraordinary work in championing the profession we love."

Previous recipients of the Selznick Award include Roger Corman, Laura Ziskin, Dino DeLaurentiis and Robert Evans.
