Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith Deny Breakup Reports


The famous couple issued a statement Tuesday amid speculation that they were separated after 13 years of marriage.

Hours after the internet was ignited with reports that they had separated after 13 years of marriage, Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith issued a joint statement shooting down the rumors.

"Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false," the pair said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "We are still together, and our marriage is intact."

The story, which quickly became a Twitter trending topic and the most searched topic on Google Tuesday, began with a report from tabloid In Touch Weekly

Will and Jada were not the only Smith family members to comment on the false report. Will's eldest son Trey (from his first marriage) also took to his Twitter account Tuesday, writing, "Will and Jada getting a DIVORCE ..NOT TRUE AT ALL !! RETWEET"
