Windelov, Brokemper get Prix Eurimages

Eurimages fetes Lars von Trier's producers

BRUSSELS -- Lars von Trier’s two producers, Vibeke Windelov and Bettina Brokemper, were named this year’s Prix Eurimages winners Wednesday.

Together, they co-produced von Trier's “Dogville” and “Manderlay.” But Denmark’s Windelov also produced all of von Trier’s films from 1994 to 2006, and the television series “The Kingdom.”

Brokemper, from Germany, also produced Eran Riklis’ “The Syrian Bride,” and in 2003 joined forces with Helmut Hartl and Stefan Telegty to form her own company, Heimatfilm,

Eurimages is the support fund for co-productions in the 55-nation Council of Europe.
