The rapper was arrested in May 2014 following an airport search in El Paso.

Wiz Khalifa has reportedly dodged additional jail time after pleading guilty to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charge dates back to his arrest on May 25, 2014, when authorities found marijuana on the rapper during a search at El Paso International Airport. The Transportation Security Administration apparently discovered about half a gram of pot and turned him over to local police.

While in custody following his arrest in Texas, the 27-year-old (real name is Cameron Thomaz) made headlines when he posted a picture of himself behind bars. His “jail selfies” sparked an internal investigation.

Khalifa, who didn’t appear personally in court to enter the plea, has agreeing to pay a $500 fine, according to TMZ.

Khalifa has had a few brushes with the law over the years. In May 2012, police caught him with marijuana following a performance at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C. A month prior to that, Khalifa was charged with marijuana possession in Nashville.

Of course, since his latest arrest, Khalifa's career has gone stratospheric.  His Furious 7 soundtrack hit "See You Again," featuring Charlie Puth, is currently enjoying an eighth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is one of the year's biggest hits.
