WME, Anonymous Content Sign 'I'll See You in My Dreams' Director Brett Haley (Exclusive)
Blythe Danner starred in the Sundance romantic dramedy, which Haley also co-wrote and produced.
I'll See You in My Dreams filmmaker Brett Haley has signed with WME and Anonymous Content, The Hollywood Reporter exclusively has learned.
Dreams, which Haley co-wrote, directed, edited and produced, was well received when it premiered at Sundance in January. The romantic comedy-drama starred Blythe Danner, in what has been called the first leading lady role in her four-decade career, as a retired widow who finds herself the object of both Sam Elliott's and Martin Starr's affections. Bleecker Street acquired the film and released it on May 15.
Haley, a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, got his professional big break as assistant to director John Hillcoat on Dimension's 2009 adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy novel The Road. He is now working on packaging his next feature film and developing a television series with writing partner Marc Basch and producers Rebecca Green and Laura D. Smith, who all worked together on Dreams.
