'Worldwide appeal' fuels WWE expansion

Sports entertainment powerhouse World Wrestling Entertainment is expanding its operations into Shanghai, Tokyo, Sao Paulo and Sydney to take advantage of international growth opportunities.

The new offices in those cities will allow it to "tap into WWE's strong worldwide appeal," the company said. In the same vein, the company's existing London office will now oversee all of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, while the existing Toronto operation will also be in charge of Latin America and China.

In those regions, WWE has in initial expansion steps established an office in Shanghai and eyes a Sao Paolo presence. WWE's new office in Sydney will look for growth opportunities throughout the Asia Pacific region, with a Tokyo office planned for the near future.
