‘Wrath of the Titans’ U.K. Rollout to Include Imax 3D Version
Audiences in 16 Imax theaters to be immersed in the fantasy actioner starring Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson.
LONDON -- British audiences will be as wide-eyed as possible for the rollout of fantasy action adventure Wrath of the Titans in the U.K.
Imax Corp. and Warner Bros. Pictures are teaming to bring cinemagoers the Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson starrer in Imax 3D format in 16 theaters across the U.K. starting Friday, March 30, simultaneous with the film’s North American wide release.
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the sequel to 2010's Clash of the Titans will be digitally remastered into Imax Experience image and sound quality using proprietary Imax DMR (digital remastering) technology, the parties said.
The sequel begins a decade after Perseus’ (Worthington) heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, which finds him attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year-old son Helius (John Bell).
His quest for a quiet life is overtaken by a battle for supremacy between the gods and the Titans.
The cast also includes Danny Huston, Edgar Ramirez, Rosamund Pike, Toby Kebbell and Bill Nighy.
Liebesman directed from a screenplay by Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson.
