Wrestling diva Trish Stratus in movie lead

Indie Canadian action film 'Bail Enforcers'

TORONTO -- Former TV wrestling diva Trish Stratus is making her movie acting debut.

Stratus is top-lining "Bail Enforcers," an indie Canadian action film about a team of bounty hunters that will have the seven-time WWE women's champion giving the occasional smackdown to bad guys in fight sequences and car chases.

Stratus made occasional appearances on Canadian TV shows like "Royal Canadian Air Farce" before retiring from professional wrestling in 2006.

She recently co-produced "Stratusphere," a travel doc series on the travel+escape network and Discovery HD.

"Bail Enforcers" will be shot in and around Toronto by director Patrick McBrearty. Chad Archibald of Black Fawn Films is producing.
