The deals are exclusive and offer the product before it can be seen in Spain elsewhere.

Online streaming service Wuaki.Tv, owned by Japanese e-commerce giant Rakuten, has signed exclusive Spanish rights to Peaky Blinders and The Game, preempting any broadcast rights of the two franchises in Spain.

Peaky Blinders, to launch on Wuaki on March 13, stars Cillian Murphy and Sam Neill in a 1920s-era British historical crime drama series created by Stephen Knight. Winner of a BAFTA award for visual effects, the popular series is produced by Caryn Mandabach and Tiger Aspect and distributed internationally by Endemol Shine International.

The Game will launch on Wuaki on April 30, the day after the BBC series completes its season in Britain. The six-chapter Cold War spy story stars Tom Hughes and Brian Cox.

Wuaki, which boasts more than one million subscribers in Spain and the U.K., has preempted Netflix in key European territories, like France, where it launched just prior to the American company.

Netflix is rumored to be securing Spanish rights with Hollywood studios for a Sept. 1 launch.
