Yahoo is bringing back documentary series Viewfinder with a June 22 premiere that will explore gay rights in America.

Viewfinder, a short-form docuseries that Yahoo previously produced for a few years, will be available on Yahoo's video platform, Yahoo Screen, and social media site Tumblr. The monthly video series was announced as part of the tech giant's new programming slate at the Digital Content NewFronts in April.

Each episode will explore a new topic, from women's rights in India to being a transgender teen in the U.S., and will feature reporting from Yahoo's editorial team, including chief investigative correspondent Michael Isikoff, news and finance anchor Bianna Golodryga and national sports columnist Dan Wetzel. MTV News veteran Gideon Yago and basketball player Baron Davis will be among Viewfinder's guest contributors. Viewfinder will also work with filmmakers from universities around the country and nonprofit news organization Retro Report.

The series premieres with "Uniquely Nasty: The U.S. Government's War on Gays." In the episode, Isikoff will investigate gay rights in the U.S. as told through the eyes of Charles Francis, the former leader of a group of gay Republicans known as the Austin 12.

Viewfinder, which won an Edward R. Murrow Award for online news feature reporting in 2013 for episode "Guardian of the Golden Gate Bridge," is produced by Yahoo Studios' Alan Springer, Tony Maciulis and Anna Robertson
