Yangaroo delivers first video file to b'casters

Arkaea 'Locust' video from E1 Entertainment sent via Internet

TORONTO -- Canadian digital music distributor Yangaroo on Monday said it successfully delivered its first video file to broadcasters via the Internet.

Toronto-based Yangaroo said the Arkaea "Locust" video from E1 Entertainment reached broadcasters using an upgrade of its existing digital system to distribute broadcast-quality audio files from record labels to radio stations.

The successful experiment enabled E1 Entertainment to avoid the time and cost of shipping Beta SP cassettes to music video broadcasters as it promotes its music artists, according to Yangaroo.

The Yangaroo technology encrypts and transmits the audio and video content from its producers to broadcasters.
