The performer — who will be playing Saturday with her band Phases — partnered with L.A. designer-model Christy Dawn on a capsule collection that's fit for the 3-day music festival.

Not long after designer Christy Dawn Petersen collaborated on the perfect party dress with Emily Ratajkowski, the L.A.-based creative is back at it again — this time, partnering with singer Z Berg on a capsule collection fit for Coachella, which kicks off Friday.

Berg, who became close friends with the model through Petersen's husband, Aras Baskauskas (also known as being the Survivor: Panama winner), says a '60s swim cover up-turned-mini dress that she's owned since she was 15 led her to want to create a new version — and Petersen immediately came to mind. The results are a cotton baby-doll Z dress, which is available in five colors ($191 each), and the Z jumper, which comes in three pattern variations ($197).

And if you're heading out to Coachella, you'll be able to catch Berg performing with her indie pop band, Phases, on Saturday, where she'll be rocking out with her personalized Z dress on the polo fields.

"I'm actually having custom dresses of my Z dress that Christy Dawn made. I got one made in silver and one in gold for both weekends," Berg tells Pret-a-Reporter of getting special ones designed specifically for her onstage moment. "When I thought about making them, they are really kind of perfect for Coachella because they're little but comfy. You can wear them all day, from day to night."

But that's not all she'll be packing for the three-day music festival, of course. Considering Berg has been to the annual extravaganza about six to seven times now ("I f—king love Coachella," she says) and performed 10 years ago with her former group, The Like, she's become quite a pro at packing for it. Kind of.

"I always make sure I have Kind bars in my bag. Sunscreen is very important — that's a rookie move to get sunburned at Coachella," offers the L.A. native.

"And the most important thing, arguably, and I f—k up on this most years but hopefully I'll have it right this year — wear comfortable shoes because you'll be running, dancing and walking around for miles. I guess that means 3-inch ankle boots for me." In any case, at least she'll have her comfy Christy Dawn dresses with her.

For now, check out the music video for "Cooler," which stars Berg, Petersen and fellow "It" girl Langley Fox roaming around Big Sur while clad in the collection. Enjoy.
