Zac Efron's 'We Are Your Friends' Gets Summer Release Date

Zac Efron's We Are Your Friends has nabbed a late-summer release date.

Warner Bros. will open the movie Aug. 28, bringing the total number of films the studio is opening nationwide this summer to a hefty 10.

Working Title Films produced the drama, which was directed by Max Joseph.

Efron stars as Cole, an aspiring 23-year-old DJ trying to make it in the L.A. electronic-music scene. Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski, who appeared in Gone Girl and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" video, co-stars alongside Wes Bentley.

StudioCanal, which financed the film, is distributing in France, the U.K., Germany, Australia and New Zealand.
