Zach Galifianakis, Patton Oswalt to Perform at Transgender Charity Benefit
Emceed by comedian Ian Harvie, the Krullapalooza evening supports transgendered youth.
Zach Galifianakis and Patton Oswalt are set to perform at L.A.'s The Wiltern on April 1 at a charity event benefiting transgendered youth.
Transgender comedian Ian Harvie will emcee the proceedings, with comics Tig Notaro and Reggie Watts also taking the stage. The event, entitled Krullapalooza, is held by the non-profit Survivors' Truths, a group that promotes issues of social justice.
Named in memory of television and film actress Suzanne Krull, who died last year, the event benefits a Survivors' Truths project called TransYouth Speak.
The project "seeks to address the intense discrimination and threats of violence faced by transgender youth every day," the group's founder and executive director Dove Pressnall said in a statement.
