The Event: The 95th annual Miss America Competition, where the 19-year-old served as a judge alongside pageant veteran Vanessa Williams. The show was especially impactful for Williams, who, after being forced to resign in 1983, received an on-air apology from the Miss America Organization.

Why We Dig: A glitzy, glamorous occasion such as the Miss America Pageant requires an equally sparkly and showstopping gown. Zendaya, who has been known for her daring and edgy red-carpet looks in the past, pulled out all the stops in her figure-flattering silver Michael Kors ensemble. Though she didn't leave the show with a tiara (that went to Miss Georgia Betty Cantrell), her voluminous, '80s-inspired curls and oversized jewels — including Butani diamond earrings and a fistful of bright rings — definitely made for a winning look.
