CANNES -- Zentropa International Norway, the Oslo-based outlet of Lars von Trier's Danish production house, has signed three of Norway's top directing talents.

ZIN is coming aboard upcoming projects from Petter Naess, director of the Nordic hits "Elling" and "Gone With the Woman" who made his U.S. debut with the 2005 Josh Hartnett starrer "Mozart & the Whale"; "Music for Weddings and Funerals" director Unni Straume; and Jens Lien, who in 2006 won an ACID award in Cannes for "The Bothersome Man."

Zentropa declined to give details of the upcoming projects but said the collaborations are planned as long-term cooperations, not one-offs.

ZIN is one of Zentropa's numerous satellite operations set up to produce local-language films as well as international co-productions.
