Zoe Saldana Reveals Style Influences, Explains Bond With Designer Prabal Gurung
The actress, who graces the September cover of Gotham magazine, next stars in "The Words" with Bradley Cooper.
Zoe Saldana is one of the best-dressed actresses in Hollywood, and it's not just due to the great sophisticated taste of her stylist, Petra Flannery. She also has great taste herself, and in September's Gotham, she models new fall clothes (yes, some by her pal Prabal Gurung) and does an interview with her Star Trek co-star Zachary Quinto.
Saldana reveals that her grandmother kept books on Coco Chanel, and this influenced her style from a young age. She tells Quinto who her style avatars are (so to speak): “Sienna Miller, Julianne Moore, these kinds of effortless beauties -- Diane Kruger. I just love looking at their styles and feeling inspired by their choices.”
She also chats about her special bond with close friend and designer Prabal, who will be showing his spring 2013 collection on Sept. 8 in New York.
“He is an artist, a true artist," she says. "I see his art, and I just truly believe in it. It really touches me.”
Saldana was one of the first celebs to wear Prabal when he launched his namesake collection in 2009, and she's been wearing it well ever since. We wouldn't be surprised if she turned up at his New York show -- though she might be out promoting The Words, in which she co-stars with Bradley Cooper -- who gossip has it is also her boyfriend.
