"Zoolander," "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," "Tropic Thunder," "Reality Bites" and "The Cable Guy" will all screen over a weekend in New York devoted to the actor's work behind the camera.

Before the world premiere of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty at the New York Film Festival, Ben Stiller joked that he wanted to thank the festival for "having the courage to show a Ben Stiller movie." It seems like the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the organization that presents the festival, is still feeling pretty courageous, because it's about to devote an entire weekend to the actor's work behind the camera.

The Film Society will screen five Stiller-directed films from Dec. 6-8 in a program called Ben Stiller Directs, it was announced Monday. Stiller will also attend screenings of Zoolander and his upcoming The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which will get another advance screening in New York ahead of its Dec. 25 release.

The other films featured are Reality Bites, Tropic Thunder and his controversial Jim Carrey-starrer The Cable Guy.

“It goes without saying that Ben Stiller is one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, as well as a fearless performer with a gift for turning anxiety into comedy and back again,” the Film Society's director of Cinematheque Programming, Dennis Lim, said in a statement. “But what doesn’t get said often enough -- and what we wanted to acknowledge with this retrospective -- is that he has also long been an inventive, risk-taking filmmaker.”
