A pick of this year's festival hits, including Michael Haneke's 'Happy End' and Luca Guadagnino's 'Call Me By Your Name' will screen at the premiere Swiss event.

The Zurich Film Festival is staying true to its reputation as one of the world's best aggregate fests, with a lineup of gala screenings that includes many of the highlights of this year's festival circuit.

This year's gala list, unveiled Friday, includes Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris' hotly anticipated Battle of the Sexes, starring Emma Stone and Steve Carell as tennis adversaries Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs; Luca Guadagnino's acclaimed gay coming-of-age tale Call Me By Your Name and Ruben Ostlund's The Square with Claes Bang and Elisabeth Moss, this year's winner of the Palme d'Or in Cannes.

Also getting the gala treatment in Zurich this year are four more Cannes highlights: Sean Baker's The Florida Project; Claire Denis' Un Beau Soleil Interieur with Juliette Binoche; Happy End from Austrian director Michael Haneke and The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Yorgos Lanthimos' follow-up to his crossover hit The Lobster.

The 2017 Zurich International Film Festival runs Sept. 28-October 8.
