Toronto: First Look at Sally Hawkins, Ethan Hawke in Hot Acquisition Title 'Maudie' (Exclusive Video)

No acquisition title at last weekend's Telluride Film Festival generated more favorable buzz than Maudie, Aisling Walsh's biopic of the arthritic Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis, largely because of Oscar nominee Sally Hawkins' tour de force performance as the title character.

Maudie, which was produced by Bob Cooper, Mary Young Leckie, Susan Mullen and Mary Sexton, next screens Sept. 12-14 at the Toronto International Film Festival. In this clip from early in the film, Hawkins' Maud is seen as a live-in housekeeper for Everett Lewis, a gruff man played by Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke.

The film's U.S. sales agent is CAA and its international sales agent is Mongrel Media.
