Kenya Barris, Jane Cha Cutler and "Quarantunes" duo of Richard and Demi Weitz have a date Sept. 17 with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles.

The foursome will be feted during the organization's ‘The Big Night In" virtual gala which benefits BBBSLA's mission of supporting youth in underserved communities by providing one-to-one mentoring relationships.

Pandemic star DJ D-Nice will kick off the event during "virtual red carpet arrivals" followed by the official program that will see Black-ish creator Barris honored with the Defender of Potential Award, Project Runway producer Jane Cha Cutler take home the 2020 Sherry Lansing Award, and WME partner Richard and daughter Demi honored with the Walt Disney Philanthropists of the Year Award following their buzzworthy pandemic concert series Quarantunes which has raked in north of $8 million for a variety of causes over the past six months, including BBBSLA.

“During a period in our collective history where human connection is at an all-time low, we are incredibly grateful for all of our allies who believe in the power of mentorship and work with us to keep kids connected. We celebrate the big, bold impact of this year’s honorees – Kenya Barris, Jane Cha Cutler and Richard and Demi Weitz – and we thank them for their incredible support of the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters,” said BBBSLA's Lauren Plichta, president and CEO.

"The Big Night In" is presented by Netflix with co-sponsors including Amazon Studios, the Chuck Lorre Family Foundation, City National Bank, IMAX, Mar Vista Investment Partners and Union Bank.
