Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors Gala to Fete Jennifer and Bert Salke With Performance by John Mayer
Oct. 25 is shaping up to be quite a night for the Salke family.
The Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors is hosting its fundraising gala that evening at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, where Amazon Studios chief Jennifer Salke and Fox 21 Television Studios president Bert Salke are set to receive the Hollywood Humanitarian Award as part of a program that includes fellow honoree Todd Morgan, chairman and CEO of Bel Air Investment Advisors, who will receive the Philanthropic Leadership Award.
Also attending that night will be John Mayer, who is confirmed to deliver a special acoustic performance, along with gala co-chairs Fox Television Group's Dana Walden and WME's Richard Weitz, and honorary gala chair Rosanna Arquette. Additional attendees are expected to be confirmed in coming weeks.
Proceeds from the gala benefit the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors Regenerative Medicine Institute (RMI), which is under the leadership of Clive Svendsen, Ph.D., who is internationally recognized for his use of stem cell technology in researching diseases such as ALS, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, macular degeneration, Crohn’s disease and diabetes.
The Salkes have been involved with multiple charities and philanthropic endeavors throughout their careers, including many years of work with Operation Smile.
