Greg Berlanti (right) and his husband, Robbie Rogers, gathered Hollywood power brokers for a special reveal April 14.

On April 14, some of the industry's biggest execs (Amazon's Jennifer Salke, WarnerMedia Entertainment's Bob Greenblatt, Warner Bros.' Kevin McCormick) and other bold-faced names (Matt Bomer with husband Simon Halls, producer Donald DeLine, well-connected sisters Sara and Erin Foster) gathered at an L.A. country club to celebrate Greg Berlanti and Robbie Rogers' latest creation: a daughter.

The prolific 46-year-old producer and soccer star-turned-producer Rogers, 31, hosted the A-list event to announce that they are welcoming a girl into their family via a surrogate (they already have a 3-year-old son, Caleb). An insider tells THR that the girl, Mia, will arrive in May.

There was more good news for the couple this week. All American, the football drama produced by Berlanti and Rogers, was renewed by The CW for a second season. The show, described as a fish-out-of-water drama, starring Daniel Ezra and inspired by the life of former pro football player Spencer Paysinger, also stars Taye Diggs, Monet Mazur, Bre-Z, Greta Onieogou, Samantha Logan, Michael Evans Behling, Cody Christian, Jalyn Hall and Karimah Westbrook.

Also in the news this past week was that Berlanti and Rogers are among the A-list Hollywood couples that have partnered to support Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg at a June fundraiser. The two will co-host along with Ryan Murphy and David Miller, Matt Bomer and Simon Halls, Bryan Lourd and Bruce Bozzi, Jess Cagle and Matt Whitney, Kevin Huvane, and Billy Eichner.
