"Revelatory" is a word The Hollywood Reporter's Daniel Feinberg used to describe TV newcomer Shanice Williams following her breakout turn in NBC's well-received The Wiz Live. "Bubbly" and "lovable" can be used to describe the 19-year-old in person, but might as well add "agreeable" too, because she said yes to Rambling Reporter's rapid-fire and random interrogation during a quiet moment at NBC's Summer Press Day recently at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village.

Last night I ... got stuck in traffic for about two hours and didn't eat dinner until midnight.

The show I can't wait to binge watch is ... Empire. When every episode ends, you can't wait for the next one. I could watch it for hours and hours and hours.

The role I most wish I had played or could play is ... on Broadway it is the role of Ti Moune in the show Once on This Island. That's my dream role. When I get older, if they ever do a project about Audra McDonald's life, I would love to play her, or even play her daughter in something. I love her.

If I had to switch careers tomorrow, I would be ... an animal doctor. Well, maybe not a doctor because I wouldn't want to put them to sleep, so I guess anything with animals.

I can't wait to work with ... Audra McDonald and Melissa McCarthy. Oh, and Taraji P. Henson, too.

The best vacation I've ever taken was to ... the Bahamas. I went with my family including my mom and her sisters and my grandma and cousins. We went on a cruise and it was really fun.

The last phone call I returned was to ... my mom. We had to figure out how I'm going to pay my rent because I got to Los Angeles and forgot to pay it before I left New York.

The last time I cried was ... yesterday. I was walking to the mall and I heard a bird up in a tree and it sounded like it was getting murdered by the other bird. I was on the phone with my friend and I started to cry. Maybe I'm emotional, but I didn't want that bird to be murdered. It was a gruesome sound.

The item in my home or closet that I can't live without is ... a pair of wedges.

What I love about Hollywood is ... When you get to Hollywood, it takes you out of your life. It makes you feel cool when you think about all the great things to come out of this town.

What I loathe about Hollywood is ... Hollywood Boulevard, where it's nasty and sketchy. You have to watch your back.

The question I wish someone would ask me is ... what made me fall in love with the performing arts.

Easy enough. So what made you fall in love with the performing arts? I grew up an only child and I always felt as if I didn't fit in. In middle school, in grammar school and even high school, I just didn't feel like I fit in. The first time that I stepped onto a stage, it was life-changing. For once, I felt comfortable and in a place where I belonged. It changed my life forever.

The question I wish people would stop asking me is ... when I was doing The Wiz, people kept asking me if I was nervous. That question would only make me more nervous.

My secret crush is ... at the moment I don't have one. I should start looking.

My favorite movie is ... I really love Beaches. It makes me cry every time. And Identify Thief, and The Grinch.

My alter ego is ... Her name is Shayoncé. Whenever I am doing something fierce or I feel like I did a great job, that's Shayoncé. She gives me pep talks, like, "Be fierce. Just do it!"
