Trump's Infamous 'Access Hollywood' Interview Gets Rogue Plaque At Site

On Oct. 20, the official Twitter account for the writers room on the CW’s superhero drama Legends of Tomorrow posted a photo of an official-looking plaque in black with gold letters that reads: “On this spot in September 2005, Donald J. Trump bragged about committing sexual assault. In November 2016, he was elected President of the United States.”

In the accompanying tweet, the 45th president was tagged along with this quip: “Legends never forget the important moments in history.”

What a brief moment in time it turned out to be.

A source tells The Hollywood Reporter that shortly after the plaque went up on the former NBC Studios lot (now Burbank Studios) — as a way to memorialize the infamous Access Hollywood tape that leaked in which Trump can be heard bragging to then-host Billy Bush about sexual assault by grabbing women by the “pussy” — security officials promptly took down the plaque within minutes.

It is also understood that the plaque wasn't real either. A source insisted that it was glossy paper or a heavy paper-like material.

First reported by Brian Stelter's CNN newsletter Reliable Sources, the stunt leads back to Phil Klemmer, an executive producer of Legends of Tomorrow. Seth Gottlieb, a visual effects editor on the series, also shared the image on his Facebook, writing, "In dishonor of our President, the producers of my show have created a plaque commemorating his comments to Billy Bush, which happened on our lot." In the comments section, when asked who was responsible for it, he wrote "was all Phil," presumably referring to Klemmer.

THR has reached out to Warner Bros., home to Legends of Tomorrow, but has yet to hear back.

The same day the image went up, Klemmer tweeted confirmation that it was removed: "It took our offices 15 minutes to take down this plaque. The truth remains."

That truth includes the audio that was first revealed by The Washington Post. It featured a conversation outside the studio (not far from Jay Leno's former Tonight Show home) between Billy Bush and Trump during a down moment during an Access Hollywood interview in which Trump can be heard saying the following: “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. ... And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. ... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”
