"Answers to Nothing"

Answers to Nothing, the R-rated drama starring comedian Dane Cook shows him in a different light.

Co-starring Julie Benz, Elizabeth Mitchell, Miranda Bailey, Zach Gilford, Erik Palladino and Barbara Hershey, the Roadside Attractions feature follows a group of people who are connected in different ways through a child's kidnapping.

Directed by Matthew Leutwyler, the upcoming film marks Cook's substantial transition into dramatic features, having mostly starred in previous comedies like Good Luck Chuck, Employee of the Month and a supporting role in Dan in Real Life.

Cook and Mitchell play a couple who want to have a child, but it's revealed that he's having an affair. All the characters seem to be unhappy with their lives, with Benz's detective being the straight woman of the film.

Answers to Nothing will be released in theaters Dec. 2.
