Woody Harrelson plays a corrupt cop and Vietnam vet in the intense drama Rampart, which has just released its first official trailer.

Oscar buzz has surrounded Harrelson's performance as Dave ever since Rampart began screening at festivals (first at Toronto) and the trailer provides the substance to back it up. If anything, the trailer suggests that as the film goes on, Dave begins to unravel.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed three exclusive clips from the cop drama in September. Rampart marks a reunion between Harrelson and director Oren Moverman; the two had worked previously on The Messenger.

Rampart, opening in theaters on Nov. 23 and written by James Ellroy and Moverman, also stars Ben Foster, Robin Wright, Sigourney Weaver, Ice Cube, Anne Heche, Ned Beatty, Cynthia Nixon and Steve Buscemi.
