'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen' Trailer: Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt Connect (Video)

Lasse Hallstrom directed the comedy-drama, written by Simon Beaufoy; the feature hits theaters in March.

The theatrical trailer for the Ewan McGregor-Emily Blunt film, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, has been released.

The Lasse Hallstrom-directed film follows a fisheries expert (McGregor), who is approached by a consultant (Blunt) to help realize a sheik's vision of bringing fly-fishing to the Yemen. Soon, they go on a journey to make what seems to be the impossible, possible.

Kristin Scott Thomas co-stars in the uplifting comedy-drama, written by Slumdog Millionaire's Simon Beaufoy from the novel by Paul Torday.

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen screened at the Toronto Film Festival, where THR's John DeFore wrote that "a bounty of front-loaded charm gives Lasse Hallstrom's new comedy momentum that should be sensed at the box office, and like the upstream swimmers it's named for, the pic may overcome adversity," but noted that the first act "is easily the film's most enjoyable."

The feature hits U.S. theaters March 2, 2012.
