Seann William Scott and Liev Schreiber Hit the Ice in 'Goon' Trailer (Video)

The hockey comedy screened at the Toronto Film Festival.

The first trailer for Goon hits all the ice hockey clichés: fights, blood, bad teeth, boozing and screaming fans.
Seann William Scott
(Stiffler from American Pie) stars as a nightclub bouncer with an affinity for fighting who joins a down-and-out hockey team to add a little punch to its step. Liev Schreiber, sporting a hefty mustache, co-stars as a rival hockey player.

The film also features Alison Pill (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy).
The film, which is based on the book Goon: The True Story of an Unlikely Journey into Minor League Hockey, screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, and was picked up by Magnet Releasing -- Magnolia Pictures' genre division. Sources say the sale is in the roughly $2 million range.
Goon is directed by Michael Dowse (Take Me Home Tonight) and written by Jay Baruchel (who starred in Tropic Thunder) and Evan Goldberg (writer, Pineapple Express and Superbad).
