The first trailer for The Three Stooges update has hit the web.

The Farrelly brothers' version of the Stooges includes Will Sasso, Chris Diamantopoulos and Sean Hayes as the title characters, and features Larry, Moe and Curly starring in a reality television show. It's only appropriate for 2012.

The trailer features the trio not quite understanding the technological advances of the modern era like (iPhones); lobsters getting intimate with Moe and Curly; Jennifer Hudson showing off her pipes as a nun; and a cameo from Jersey Shore star Snooki getting her eyes poked out.

The 20th Century Fox comedy, slated for a April 4 release, has been in the works for a long time. When the project was set up at MGM, the Farrellys had Jim Carrey as Curly, Sean Penn as Larry and Benicio del Toro as Moe.

Co-written by Peter and Bob Farrelly and Mike Cerrone, The Three Stooges also co-stars Jane Lynch, Sofia Vergara (with a small appearance in the trailer), Stephen Collins, Larry David and Dwight Howard (as himself).
