Violet Grey, the West Hollywood beauty retailer founded by Cassandra Huysentruyt Grey, has been known to shower stars with luxurious goody bags — but you don’t need to be a nominee to get your hands on its exclusive Best of Summer box.
The starry boutique‘s seasonal curation of best-sellers is back, and the nine-piece collection is packed with luxury skin care, cosmetics and hair products approved by the shop’s roster of Hollywood-loved insiders (think facialist Dr. Barbara Sturm, makeup artist Kirsten Kjær Weis, eye doctor and esthetician Dr. Maryam Zamani and others.)
The box is priced at $408, meaning beauty buffs will enjoy 50% off cult-favorite products for poolside sun protection and faking a full night’s rest or sun-kissed skin, among many other summer staples.
Those looking for brighter, hydrated and plumper skin will enjoy unboxing Sturm’s Glow Drops (reg. $145), which contains nourishing, pore-minimizing and luminizing ingredients such as bistorta root, purslane, rose canina and sweet almond oil (Sturm’s clients include Naomi Watts and Angela Bassett); and Mutha’s No. 1 Serum (reg. $140), a concoction of bio-fermented ingredients including stabilized vitamin C, camellia seed oil and four types of hyaluronic acid for boosting collagen production and preventing UVA/UVB damage.
The box is also stocked with a moisturizing Blossoming cream blush (reg. $32) and a luxe refillable metal compact (reg. $24 from Emma Watson-loved organic makeup brand Kjær Weis as well as London-based Zamani’s tri-peptide-infused firming eye cream (reg. $143).
Pool-bound beauty enthusiasts can slather on Révive’s lightweight Soleil Superieur Broad Spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen (reg. $115) before soaking up sun rays, then coat their chlorine-soaked stresses in Philip Kingsley’s deep conditioning Elastizer (reg. $50) for a post-pool, pre-shampoo moisturizing treatment (Audrey Hepburn was among the late hair doctor’s clients).
Rounding the luxury beauty box’s skincare options are Zitsticka’s pimple-reducing patches (reg. $36), French label Chantecaille’s Liquid Lumiere (reg. $45) rose gold highlighting fluid and U Beauty’s newly-launched Sculpt Arm Compound (reg. $98) for tightening and toning the skin.
