People on the Move: SAG’s Rebecca Yee Joins SEIU

Rebecca Yee, SAG’s national director of affirmative action and diversity and senior EEO counsel, is leaving the guild after five and a half years. She’s taking a job as general counsel for Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 721, which primarily represents Southern California county and city employees.

Yee is a graduate of the University of Illinois and UCLA School of Law.

Adam Moore, SAG’s national associate director, will assume the position of interim national director for affirmative action and diversity. He’s based in New York, unlike Yee, who was based in Los Angeles. Senior manager Ellen Huang will remain in SAG’s Los Angeles headquarters and continue with initiatives and outreach efforts in Hollywood.

Yee’s last day was May 31st, and she begins her new job today.
