Netflix has released a 90-second preview of its upcoming Daredevil series, and it gives a pretty good sense of that darker tone the Steven S. DeKnight show will use to spotlight the Marvel superhero.
Immediately in the trailer, the vision of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is impaired after an accident, while his hearing is noticeably heightened.
“I’ve been preoccupied of late with questions of morality, of right and wrong, good and evil,” he says while in confession. I’m not seeking forgiveness for what I’ve done, Father. I’m asking forgiveness for what I’m about to do.”

Still, he promises, “I’m just trying to make my city a better place.”
The trailer also highlights the cast — which includes Deborah Ann Woll, Rosario Dawson, Toby Leonard Moore, Bob Gunton, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Ayelet Zurer, Elden Henson and Vincent D’Onofrio — as well as the explosive action.
Daredevil hits Netflix in full on April 20. Watch it below.
