The Doctor is on her way back.
To coincide with the return of Doctor Who to TV screens this fall, Titan Comics will launch Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor comic book series, heralding a new comic line based on the BBC property.
On television, Jodie Whittaker is taking over the iconic role, alongside new companions Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole and new showrunner Chris Chibnall.
The new comic series will be written by Jody Houser, whose résumé includes runs on a number of high-profile properties, including the best-selling Orphan Black comic book, as well as the comic book adaptation of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the critically acclaimed Mother Panic series from DC’s Young Animal imprint. Art will come from fan-favorite Rachael Stott, who has illustrated a number of Titan’s previous Doctor Who comics. Enrica Angiolini will be the series’ colorist.
Titan Comics has held the Doctor Who comic book license since 2014, and has published individual series for multiple incarnations of the character, in addition to special crossover storylines featuring more than one Doctor at a time.
More information about Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor, and Titan’s plans for other Doctor Who comics to follow, will be revealed in coming months, according to the publisher.
