Series star Michael Steger, who plays Navid on the long-running drama, stopped by THR‘s Cover Lounge to offer a preview of Monday’s landmark moment — which features reunions, unexpected hijinks and potential life-changers.
“In the 100th episode, a lot of interesting things happen. Navid is passive aggressively trying to win Silver (Jessica Stroup) back and he’s doing it in the wrong ways,” Steger told THR.
Navid, who tried his hand in the pop-up shop business, and the guys will also take part in what Steger describes as a “comical” powderpuff football game, where the men of 90210 dress as cheerleaders with the girls as football players. “You can only imagine what happens from there,” he teased. “It’s a riot.” Denise Richards also joins in on the fun.
The gang also heads back to familiar stomping grounds in West Beverly High “with guest stars [Annie’s drug-dealing ex Jasper, played by Zachary Ray Sherman, and her crazy cousin Emily, played by Abbie Cobb] coming back.”
“Right when Annie Wilson (Shenae Grimes) goes back to West Beverly, she’s bombarded with Jasper and Emily in one scene,” Steger said. “You get to see her deal with those obstacles. The layout of the scene is really funny. I think fans are going to dig it.”
Whenever 90210 does end, Steger revealed his thoughts on the perfect wrap-up for his alter ego.
“[For him] to reconcile with his family and for him to finally find his path, to find what he really wants to do in life,” he said. “I don’t think he’s found it [yet]. He tried running a production studio, he’s doing pop-ups, so we have to see what he does next.”
