British TV producer Duncan Gray, a former ABC, ITV and Sky executive who executive produced Jimmy Kimmel Live! for three years, has teamed with indie Cineflix Media to launch a new global TV venture.
Gray and Cineflix will jointly run U.K.-based Twenty Six 03 Entertainment, with an eye to making global series and reality formats. The tie-up follows Gray forming Twenty Six 03 Content in April 2015, with his first series, the music game show Bring The Noise, airing for one season on Sky 1.
The Italian adaptation of Bring The Noise, produced by Magnolia, will air on Italia Uno. A separate Cineflix Media joint venture with Tony Wood’s Buccaneer Media produces Marcella, the hit Scandinavian noir crime series for ITV and Netflix.
Twenty Six 03 Entertainment has unspecified projects set up with U.K. broadcasters and is developing shows for U.S. networks. Toronto-based Cineflix will provide company financing, and its Cineflix Rights division has an option to release Twenty Six 03 projects, while Gray focuses on program development and production.
Gray’s TV credits include The Big Breakfast (Channel 4), Survivor (CBS), Britain’s Got Talent (ITV), Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV), Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC) and A League of Their Own (Sky). Cineflex’s other partnerships with indie producers includes ventures with Seadog Productions, George Moll and Andre Barro.
“We’re thrilled to be in business with Duncan. We will continue to build on this model with further joint ventures, first looks, housekeeping and overall deals as we diversify and grow our group of content companies,” said Glen Salzman, co-founder and co-CEO of Cineflix Media.
