ABC has renewed summer cop drama Rookie Blue for a third season.
Starring Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith, the series will enter production on the new season in Toronto later this summer.
Rookie Blue has been performing for ABC in its Thursday night time slot in the ad-coveted 18-49 demographic so far this season, finishing No. 1 for the past three episodes.
Developed by Thump Inc. and produced in partnership with Entertainment One, Rookie Blue is executive produced by Tassie Cameron, Ilana Frank, Noreen Halpern, John Morayniss and David Wellington. The drama centers on five young and ambitious cops trying to navigate the emotions of their professional and personal lives.
Rookie Blue airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
