Selfie, which stars Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan and John Cho, is currently scheduled to air on Tuesday, Nov. 11 in its regular 8 p.m. time slot. It remains unclear whether the series from creator Emily Kapnek will remain on the schedule beyond that.
Selfie had a tall mountain to climb from the outset. Expected to open Tuesdays for ABC this fall, the comedy failed to make waves in the ratings, debuting to a mediocre 5.3 million viewers and a 1.6 rating among adults 18-to-49. Selfie shed viewers in subsequent weeks, with ABC doubling up on originals on election night following the quick cancellation of Manhattan Love Story.

Selfie centers on the life of Eliza Dooley (Gillan), a woman obsessed with the idea of achieving fame through the use of social media platforms and seeks advisement from image guru Henry Higgs (Cho). Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Allyn Rachel and David Harewood co-star. Kapnek and Julie Anne Robinson executive produce the Warner Bros. TV production.
The news comes after ABC gave a full-season order earlier Friday to the crime procedural Forever.
It’s been a tough fall for new comedies, with the axing of Manhattan Love Story and forthcoming ends of NBC’s Bad Judge and A to Z.
