The next-to-last performance episode of America’s Got Talent ticked up in the ratings Tuesday. So did the Bachelor in Paradise finale, which recorded the show’s best Tuesday numbers of the summer.
AGT recorded a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49, a tenth of a point better than a week ago. NBC also led the 10 o’clock hour with a fall preview special featuring the cast of Brooklyn Nine-Nine; it scored a 0.8 in the demo.
The Bachelor in Paradise reunion show scored a 1.2 for ABC, an improvement of 0.2 versus last Tuesday’s show and 0.1 over Monday’s installment. The finale caps a down season for the show; Monday episodes fell by 17 percent in the same-day ratings, and Tuesdays came down 10 percent.
Castaways followed with a 0.5, up a tenth from a week ago.
Fox’s Beat Shazam (0.7) and Love Connection (0.4) both held steady week to week. The Outpost (0.2) was also even with its last episode on The CW.
NBC led the network race with a 1.5 rating in the demo in primetime. ABC finished second at 1.0. CBS and Fox tied for third at 0.6, and The CW trailed with a 0.2.
The Tonight Show led the 18-49 demo at 11:35 p.m. with a 0.5 from metered markets. The Late Show followed with a 0.4, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! posted a 0.3. The Late Show, per usual, held a sizable lead in metered-market households: 2.7/8 to 1.8/5 for Tonight and 1.5/4 for JKL.
Late Night and Nightline (0.3 each) tied for the 18-49 lead at 12:35 a.m. The Late Late Show drew a 0.2 in the demo but led in households with a 1.3/5.
