After rare on-air appearances for Current TV during the recent Democratic and Republican conventions, the network co-founder is returning for the upcoming presidential debate.

The Oct. 3 face-off, one of three scheduled before the Nov. 6 election, is taking place in Denver. The former vice president, joined by Jennifer Granholm, Eliot Spitzer, Cenk Uygur and recent Current addition John Fugelsang, will lead the coverage and analysis from the cable network’s New York studio.
President Obama and GOP nominee Mitt Romney will address domestic policy in this first debate, which is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET. Gore’s Current coverage will start an hour before the start of the debate and resume at 10:30 ET, when it’s scheduled to end.
Gore participated in three presidential debates when he ran for president against George W. Bush in 2000.
