Syfy’s Alphas is adding to its core cast as it begins production on the second season.
Private Practice actress Erin Way has joined the ensemble as Kat, the latest addition to the quirky team of investigators with superhuman powers. Kat is described a mysterious and free-spirited young loner whose Alpha ability allows her to pick up any skill at a glance. The downside is that her memories and experiences are short-lived.
Alphas, produced by Universal Cable Productions and BermanBraun, stars David Strathairn, Malik Yoba, Warren Christie, Azita Ghanizada, Ryan Cartwright and Laura Mennell. Season 2 of the drama series is set to premiere in July.
Way, repped by Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier, starred in ABC’s police procedural Detroit 1-8-7 and previously appeared in Hawaii Five-0, Private Practice and Girlfriends. On the big-screen, she stars in the upcoming The Collection, Doonby and Not That Funny.
