Amazon Studios is bolstering its PR team.
Tammy Golihew has exited her post as executive vp scripted marketing and communications at Warner Bros. Television and will join Amazon Studios as director of publicity. Golihew begins her new role Monday and will report to Amazon Entertainment vp PR and publicity Craig Berman.
In her new role, Golihew will oversee publicity for all Amazon Prime originals including awards season darling The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Jack Ryan, The Grand Tour, Mozart in the Jungle, The Man in the High Castle and The Tick. She will work alongside Vicky Eguia, director of PR for Amazon original movies, to promote and create innovative series and films in more than 200 countries and territories.
Golihew joined Warners in 2006 as vp publicity in the worldwide television marketing unit. During her tenure at the independent studio, she oversaw all aspects of marketing, business communications, consumer publicity and social media efforts related to scripted programming across Warner Bros. Television Group. She oversaw the launch of awards campaigns, promotions and integrated marketing, among others.
Golihew has led communications for such events as Comic-Con International, PaleyFest, TCA and more.
Golihew joins Amazon Studios as the company continues to search for a new head of originals to replace Roy Price, who was pushed out following allegations of sexual harassment. His heads of scripted and unscripted were also pushed out, while international and kids programming toppers exited for Apple.
Warner Bros. Television is expected to promote from within to replace Golihew.
