AMC is bringing on Warner Horizon Television’s Drew Brown. The network announced on Wednesday that Brown has been named senior vp production. He’ll oversee all aspects of production and postproduction for both the network and the studio.
“Drew has deep experience in many genres of television, including cable drama, but it is his skills as a problem solver and creative collaborator that make him so valuable,” said AMC executive vp original programming, production and digital content Joel Stillerman. “Nothing we do fits in a box anymore, so each series needs a custom solution, and that is where Drew truly excels along with his ability to find the best way to support the vision of the people creating and producing shows for us.”
Brown will report directly to Stillerman in his new role. He most recently served as vp production for Warner Horizon, supervising such series as Pretty Little Liars, Rizzoli & Isles, Longmire and Dallas. He also served as head of production for Endemol USA’s digital media group.
AMC’s current roster includes The Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels and TURN. Next year sees the addition of Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul and the exit of flagship hit Mad Men. Halt and Catch Fire, which has yet to be renewed, is currently finishing up its first season.
