It’s getting crowded inside American Horror Story’s haunted mansion.
The FX drama has booked Lily Rabe, the daughter of the late Jill Clauburgh, to recur as a former resident of the creepy home in which the series takes place, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

As first reported by E!, Rabe’s character will share an “ungodly connection” with Connie Britton’s Vivien Harmon, who, with husband Ben (Dylan McDermott) are the new residents of the home.
From Glee co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, American Horror Story revolves around Harmons, who move from Boston to Los Angeles in a bid to rebuild their family after an affair and miscarriage.

Rabe will play the original owner of the mansion and appear to both Viv and Ben in 1920s-era flashbacks.
Murphy has described the project as a “psycho-sexual thriller,” and vowed to resolve several questions that arise in the 90-minute premiere, set for Oct. 5 on FX.
American Horror Storyreunites Rabe with Murphy; the duo worked together when she guest starred on a 2008 episode of Nip/Tuck. Her credits also include episodes of The Good Wife, Law & Order and Medium.
