Following last night’s final performance show of American Idol, a record 122.4 million votes were cast for finalists Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery.
That brings the total of Season 10 votes to more than 730 million, the highest number for any season.
Since Season 1, the number of Idol votes have reached nearly 4.8 billion.
Tonight — with appearances by surprise guests and a Top 13 reunion — either Lauren or Scotty will be crowned the next Idol. Yesterday, Lauren found herself in a bit of a mind after losing her voice before she was slated to perform. But, everything ultimately worked out.
Who did you vote for?
