The inaugural Reality Rocks Expo, which launches next month in Los Angeles, announced on Tuesday the addition of a number of popular reality TV stars who will be participating in the fan event.
Among the notable newcomers are American Idol season 9 finalists Didi Benami, Michael Lynche, Paige Miles, Katie Stevens and Tim Urban. The former contestants will participate in an autograph-signing session and a panel discussion (moderated by The Hollywood Reporter‘s Idol expert, Shirley Halperin) about what it was like to compete on the hit show.
Also on the agenda for the event happening April 9 and 10 at the L.A. Convention Center is a panel titled “TV Dinners: How Television Changed the Culinary Industry” featuring chefs and contestants from popular cooking-competition shows, including Top Chef contestants Betty Fraser and Ilan Hall and The Next Iron Chef‘s Eric Greenspan.
Sure to steal its share of the spotlight is the original car from the classic 1968 movie musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which was featured last November on Hollywood Treasure. The iconic artifact will be on display throughout the two-day event, offering the last chance to check out the “Gen 11” up close before Hollywood Treasure star Joe Maddalena puts it up for auction later in the month, when it’s expected to fetch between $1-$2 million.
Previously announced reality show celebrities scheduled to attend the event include America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon, The Hills‘ alum Audrina Patridge and Dancing With the Stars‘ Karina Smirnoff, among others.
The Reality Rocks Expo will also preview upcoming reality TV shows and host a VIP Awards program and meet-and-greets with famous faces from The Real World, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Storage Wars, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Antiques Roadshow and more.
Reality Rocks is a production of Prometheus Global Media, which owns The Hollywood Reporter, along with other media publications.
