News that should surprise absolutely no one: America’s Got Talent will be back on NBC come summer, full cast in tow.
The show, which had several contracts to work out before an official green light, has been renewed for a 13th season. This comes after a record-breaking run during summer 2017 that saw Talent become the highest-rated reality series in all of television, skipping past ABC’s The Bachelor and NBC neighbor The Voice.
Talent‘s renewal includes new deals for judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B, as well as host Tyra Banks. Simon Cowell, who joined the series in 2016, had already signed a big pact to remain on the show through a 14th season in 2019.
The biggest series of the last few summers, Talent is at the center of the NBC off-season. In 2017, the network also used it to launch new competition series World of Dance. The format was created by Cowell and is co-produced by FremantleMedia North America and Syco Entertainment. Cowell, Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff, Trish Kinane and Richard Wallace serve as executive producers.
Auditions are currently underway, with a premiere date forthcoming.
